The MDRL Building Brighter Futures! Tutorial Series is a collection of accessible, brief, online trainings created by instructional leaders working in the field of Deaf Education. The tutorials are designed to familiarize teachers with research-based and promising practices that facilitate the inclusion of students who are d/Deaf, hard of hearing, deafblind, or DeafPlus (deaf with co-occurring developmental disabilities) in the classroom.

Tutorials are signed (ASL), voiced (English), and captioned video presentations that outline practical steps educators can take in creating a more inclusive barrier- free learning environment for children and young people who are Deaf and Hard of Hearing students in Alberta. A better understanding of the unique barriers faced by these students is essential in creating an inclusive learning environment. Tutorial viewing times are generally less than 20 minutes.
